What a night! Over 400 lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and assorted family and friends scrambled to get tickets (yes, we did sell out 3 weeks before the ball) and they weren't disappointed.
Guests arrived through a light smattering of snow (we'd arranged it specially) to a town hall covered in fairy lights. Inside the foyer, there was a forest of fir trees and snow, and a shot of schnapps to warm the cockles before stepping into the winter wonderland of the main hall.
From the tables to the stage, everything was right. Holly and ivy covered the tables, candles flickered, the front of the stage glittered, and on stage, from huge snowdrifts, willow sprouted covered in snow (with a bit of extra sliver glitz).

Entertainment came from the Lavender Cafe Orchestra, community dances led by Steve and Mike, the Victor Victoria singers and dancers performing a queered-up 'Waltzing in a Winter Wonderland', a costume parade, and of course, all our lovely guests who pulled out all the stops with their costumes and their dancing. You've never seen so much white fur in all your life.
As usual, Henry and Andy spun the discs from above their very own snowdrift, taking us from strict tempo to disco in five fabulous hours.
